I cannot believe the audacity of this place. The water pressure in the shower was laughably minimal and don't get me started on the pillows. They were dreadful. I woudl ve been gracious enough for a complimentary upgrade, but clearly, this hotel reserves that for people who aren't me. Totally underwhelming experience.

Clean accommodation, helpful and attentive staff with frequent service. Savoury breakfasts, with great choiceof continental or cooked and if required, for example. In an excellent location close enough to restaurants and pubs. Very nice area.

Poor directions for room amenities!!! Inconsistent cleanliness and weak water pressure in showers could detract from overall enjoyment!!!

Only stayed the one night but the hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff friendly. Lovely welcome, excellent breakfast. Had front door key so could return at any time in the evening. Will stay here again when next in Edinburgh.

Accommodation - This charming old house was very clean and comfortable and ideally situated for our business and leisure needs. The proprieter and staff were very accommoddating to ourselves and our dogs needs. All enquiries were dealt with immediately and without fuss - how do we- , where is - taxis? Even rearranging the car park so that our dog could sleep in the car undisturbed.

Good location for Murrayfield Stadium. Nice pub and restaurant next door.
Bathroom didn't have anywhere to lay anything down. Could do with a few shelves and a hook on the door. Our room (5) did have a window except a velux very high up. Room OK for a 1 night stay.

The hotel is beautifully maintained and clean. I enjoyed the great garden view from my spacious room which added a nice touch to my experience. The location is convenient.
The check-in instructions were a bit confusing at first.

As soon as you get off the Airlink bus in Western Coates you see the elegant Victorian house with lights from the interiors and the garden and the conservatory and you smile. And then you meet the owners and you feel you will have a wonderful time there. This is our opportunity to greet them and to thank them for pleasant conversation and for their suggestions for our wandering in Edinburgh or to the Highlands, for the big, good breakfast which was served in a cosy dining room where scented candles were lit in the morning. All was clean, cosy and peaceful. Duthus Lodge is "home sweet home". Cristina&Giorgio
